Pyments Project Monitoring for University College Birmingham (UCB)

Pyments have been commissioned by University College Birmingham to provide our Project Monitoring Service for Phase 1 of their New College Campus in Birmingham.

The new building provides 7,200sq.m of teaching and learning space organised over four floor levels. The plan is developed with two wings enclosing a central breakout and collaborative space. The ground floor includes a 24 hour, 7 days’ a week open plan student hub which contains a range of formal and informal workspaces for individual and group work, IT spaces and presentation rooms. There is also a 200 seat café with a link to an external seating area.  The new build campus  includes, classrooms, 3 lecture theatres and student hub. Particular attention was given to specific areas of the build for instance the ‘copper fins’ and courtyard areas externally, together with a range of internal features such as the atrium and lecture theatres.
